1. Tribes: Ascend

Now this is the kind of Tribes game I and many others want. I've pretty much lost all interest in the MMO, which happens to be one of the games I've removed from my original list. Still, I'm not entirely happy with what I'm hearing so far. Melee combat? In Tribes? Can't say I'm too thrilled about that. The models themselves seem a bit chunky to me, though the Light Diamond Sword armor is pretty good. The rest could lose a few pounds. We also have no idea how Hi-Rez will handle modding, if they'll even allow it at all. Then you've got the engine itself, which isn't really the preferred type for a game like Tribes. Lots of things need answered before I can mindlessly place a preorder.
2. Portal 2

I've actually just recently started playing Portal again, and despite knowing how to solve every puzzle within seconds, I still love it. I actually discovered a set of achievements today (Transmission Sent), and am currently trying to complete it. It's a nice little refreshment to a game that doesn't even need one.
And that's it folks. Seriously. I've cut down my original list by two-thirds, mainly due to release dates. I have no idea if Ep. 3 will come out this year. It's extremely unlikely, as is Infinity. I'm still interested in Outerra, but again, no idea if it'll come out this year. Another game lacking from this list that actually does have a 2011 release date is Firefall. I don't know why, but I've lost all interest in this game. It happened sometime around PAX East, which is even stranger since we got more info on the game. But nothing about it appeals to me anymore. If I had to guess I'd say the Tribes: Ascend announcement had something to do with it. I'm also interested in Battlefield 3, but I know this laptop won't be able to handle it.
So, there you have it. I'm looking forward to just two games this year, one of which comes out in less than a month. The other could very well get pushed to 2012, but who knows. My original list included some notable mentions, but none of those have my interest anymore either. Well, Driver could be interesting. But that's mostly nostalgia speaking.
